Adult Art Workshop: Making Dimensional Mandalas with Susan Togut

April 1, 8, 15, 29, from 4-6pm

Mandalas are beautiful works of art that bring joy, peace, balance and renewal to viewers and creators. Circular in structure, set into other geometric forms and patterns, they concretize intuitive insights, offering inspiration and protection. Participants will begin this project with an introduction and visual examples, followed by drawn mandalas on black paper. In the remaining weeks they will create mixed-media mandalas on archival paper, wood, metal or other strong materials with paint, special papers, fabric, fibers, beads, stones, pieces of jewelry or precious items, natural elements, etc. Supplies will be provided.

Instructor Susan Togut is a public and gallery artist, educator, arts for wellness facilitator, and curator. She integrates personal perspectives and community-based, worldly concerns.

Registration is required and space is limited! Sign-up at the circulation desk, by calling 845-679-2213, or by emailing info@woodstock.org.
