Waves of Transformation

This environment honors a vital place for early commerce and community vitality in the city’s harbor.  As well, it symbolizes communal wellness as it was built in the Healing Arbor’s footprint. Created with historical boat parts, it illuminated neighborhood history, including past, present and future cycles of renewal.

The inside features a microcosm of the streetscape, seen on the maritime wall, with a contemplative bench facing the Rondout Creek.  A historical tin ceiling covered the exterior wall formed from boat components.
