Roots of Ascension

Encompassing a figurative and animal chorus, symbolic and real lotus, this contemplative installation was built above and around a circular pond.  As a living environment, focused on renewal, it changed over a two year period. Simulated stained glass images of women were developed from real models in the pond.

Kinetic effects include changing sunlight illuminating the panels and wind currents. Holographic effects resulted. This installation led to others at Unison in a different, wooded site.
