LIFEFORCE: A GIFT FROM THE RIVER

Using indigenous elements from the river’s edge, this installation honored the Hudson’s Quadricentennial, the community’s history and nature’s cycles. It symbolizes the dynamism, calm and ephemerality of changing tides. Hanging lines of river glass create subtle movements as in waves. Rocks, bricks and river glass on the floor embody early industry, history and the passage of time.
