PATH OF RENEWAL
This accessible, green pathway, celebrating the Hudson River Quadricentennial, led from the park entrance to the river. It was created by those challenged with traumatic brain injuries of Northeast Center for Special Care. Many people, with diverse abilities and disabilities, hand-painted bluestone boulders and cedar planters for the pathway. Empowered by creativity, these components are testaments of artists’ metamorphosis in recapturing their humanity. The pathway was enthusiastically received by the public. For the NCSC creators, their first public art experience was thrilling
